Today I’ve got a fun one for ya!
About a month ago there was a yard sale going on down the street, so of course I was drawn like a moth to a flame! Turns out, it was my bestie’s old roommate,Kari, having a moving sale. Such a small world. Kari had had this desk for years and years, and loved it. But since she was about to get married, she figured it was time to let it go. So I snatched it up!
It was painted white, but was kinda drippy and chippy, so I decided to strip and sand the paint off. Once we did, I found good news and bad news. The good news was it had these cute little corner details that I couldn’t wait to re-do. The bad new was this: someone had written all over the top and even carved an homage to OJ Simpson… apparently. 🙂
Hmmmm….. so I decided on a two tone look. Well… more of a five tone. Wanted to try my hand at an ombre.
So here’s what we ended up with!
This cute little desk is available for purchase here.
In honor of National Foster Care month, this month, 15% of every purchase is going to Crittenton Services for Children and Families, helping families in Fullerton and around Southern California. More information on what they’re doing to transform lives later this week.
