Spray paint, oh spray paint…. how do I love thee?
You make me so very happy. You make old things look a lot less… uh… crappy?
OK, so I’m not a poet. That was pretty bad.
Sometimes you just need a little change. You don’t always have a piece of furniture to re-do or the time or money to change a whole room. But a little sprucing can go a long way.
Enter… one glorious can of spray paint. But not just any spray paint. Rust-oleum GOLD metallic spray paint!
I originally bought it to repaint a lamp that I will show you later. From there… well… I got a little case of the Midas touch! I started looking around the house for things I could bring a little glitz to. A flower pot… a frame… Tony’s lucky he can run faster than me or I might have painted him too!
One day, while at the 99cent store (quite possibly, one of my favorite stores) I spotted this little owl bank. “Now wouldn’t you look fabulous all decked out in gold?”
Why yes… yes you would. I love how he turned out. Except for the fact that I forgot and left him outside overnight and he got hit by the sprinklers. Well now, he’s a spotted owl, literally. I could paint him again, but… nah! I don’t care that much. He is doing his job of brightening up my room perfectly! Spots and all.
