We made our first sales! Not just one, but TWO this weekend! First to go was the Ombre desk. A lovely woman named Raquel bought it for her new apartment to replace an IKEA desk that didn’t survive the move. Her computer doesn’t have to sit on the floor anymore! The next day Milton came by and purchased the Cream & Black console. He said he’s been looking for something unique for his TV. We could not be more thrilled, for several reasons! First, because these two pretties got new homes! We hope their new owners will enjoy them thoroughly. Second, these pieces leaving makes room for more sad furniture in need of transformation. And third, and maybe most importantly, this means we get to make a donation to Crittendon Services for Children & Families!
We believe in what Crittendon is about. They exist to help heal the wounds of abuse and neglect; to strengthen families, whether birth, foster or adoptive; and to help troubled adolescents reach their full potential. Just typing those words gets me excited! That is what we’re about and we want to stand behind those who are changing the world one life at a time. Bam!
So let’s get another one out the door and help more kids!
This dresser was actually my hubby’s. Many years ago, Tony’s best friend got it from the retirement home he was working at. Tony bought it from him and it has been with him ever since, through several moves. And now it’s time for it to move again… out of our garage! I’m finding it difficult to decide on colors when I don’t know who it’s for. There are a couple of different directions we could go. We could go really clean, painting the body white and staining the drawers. We can always do a fun color. Or, we were thinking about doing something a little bit nautical, maybe navy and white with some rope drawer pulls. They all sound kinda fun so I’m having trouble pulling the trigger!
So we’d love it if you’d weigh in! What do you think we should do with this dresser?
