I love this little vanity! She is probably one of my favorite pieces we’ve done. It probably has something to do with the color, seeing as how I’m obsessed with anything is the teal/turquoise/aqua color palette. Seriously, Tony pointed out to me recently that I have some version of this color in pretty much every room in the house. I have problems.
My dad, trash-digger extrordinaire, found this little piece on one of their city clean up days. I got several texts that day with photos of furniture, asking if I wanted it. When I saw this little vanity, I couldn’t believe someone was throwing it out! Um, yes please!
When Audrey told me she was looking for a vanity in turquoise…. I mean, c’mon. She was speakin’ my language! I painted this beauty with Americana Decor’s Chalky Finish paint in Vintage. I did mix a little bit of another turquoise paint I had (because I have several) in order to make it a little more blue. Then I distressed it and rubbed it with Minwax Dark Paste Wax and finished it off with some new hardware from Hobby Lobby. I love how it turned out and how it looks in Audrey’s house!
Happy Friday! What projects are you working on this weekend?
